A lady I know is doing this, this year and I spent last night reading the blogs from last year.... She's freaking nuts!

I want to do something a bit different, and a bit 'epic'. I've planning on doing an ironman at some point in the next few years but it seems a bit commercial now. I've been eyeing up challenges like LeJog, London>Paris but I just need to find someone who is also nutty enough to push me to take the plunge.
This one certainly sounds awesome. I also like the idea of doing RAAM (Race Across America). There was a docu on it on Eurosport yesterday which somewhat piqued my interest!

There is a documentary on the Race Across America, looks like absolute hell! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1ZWZrKSxxs
For those that like the idea of RAAM. This might whet your appetites a bit more, a bit of a blog / feed from a Shu Pillinger who crashed out last year and is going again this year.

My mate did it last year. He won the Lanterne Rouge prize, but he made it! (Prize was for the final finisher within the time limit of 14 days, whereas more than 50% of people didn't make that cut).
He's not a quick rider, but he has a pain threshold which is a danger to passing A380s.
