Garmin 310XT Speed & Cadence Sensor.

So ive picked up a used Garmin forerunner 310xt with a HRM.
Im after an equally cheap and cheerfull speed and cadence sensor.
Will any Ant+ work as ive seen a Giant one which looks like it fits the bill.
Has anyone else got a 310 setup?

I have the older 405 setup and run the garmin speed and cadence sensor. Iirc it didn't cost a lot and works wonders. Its also an all in 1 module so runs off the rear wheel.

Yes any ant+ sensor, combined or separate, so long as you can fit it on your frame - there are a couple of manufacturers who make integrated ones that fit into a specially designed recess in their own frames. Not sure if that includes giant.

I've got a Garmin speed/cadence sensor strapped to the chainstay on one bike, and on the other (new) bike, I've got a Bontrager (read: Trek) "DuoTrap" sensor that fits into the chainstay in a specially moulded recess. It's very neat and tidy, and (so far) has worked really well. Giant is another brand that has a 'built in' speed/cadence sensor, the "Ride Sense" sensor, but I'd imagine not all of their bikes would be fitted for it. Edit: I've no experience of the 310. I have the Garmin Edge 500, and the only problem I have is that it doesn't seem to 'auto-find' the correct bike, despite being paired with both sensors, so to make the cadence sensor work I have to manually change the settings to the bike I want to ride. Minor irritation, and very much a "first world problem".
