Bike holiday rental, what to try?

I'm off to Mallorca in late Aug early Sep and planning to rent a bike for both me and MiniMadness. Now he's already dead happy that he's getting a carbon, ultegra (10 year old easily pleased and its a good upgrade from his Bt Triban 3 he races!)

Currently got a Planet X RT57 with SRAM Force, but I was thinking about what to try over there?

It will mainly for couple of hours riding near Port de Pollenca each day (too hot later in day) and I was thinking about trying either Di2 or a titanium frame? Any thoughts or other ideas?

Canyon rent bikes over there, I think they're the other side of the island from pollenca though.

I was out there end of Jan, and someone had rented a Cervelo with di2 from bikehead, and due to time of year, was also given a Cannondale SuperSix evo with di2 to try (as he owned the same Cervelo) Said good service, and the cannondale was a great ride.
