Hi

Was out with my lad today and his rear Fox suspension suddenly oozed oil out from behind the blue lock out leaver.

The suspension still works fine, but the recoil doesn't function.

Is this a DIY job, ie buy a set of seals and some oil, or does it need to go off to a specialist for repair?

Looked on Mo Jo site, and they want £111, which seems a bit steep

Any help appreciated

The air cams are serviceable easily enough but the rebound and compression circuits are more complicated and need a nitrogen charge. If you can get it apart it's probably just an o ring.

Try j tech suspension who are cheaper.

I've had this before and it's definitely not user serviceable. Was cheaper to buy a new one on sale at CRC than have it fixed.

Same as Ian,

Mine went back for repair but failed in the same way a few months later and was replaced.

Hi

New unit is £250 - £300 (for same model, not an upgrade) so have decided to have it repaired / serviced at Mo Jo

Not the cheapest repair company, but been the only Fox authorised company, so I am expecting the best repair possible.

Quoted cost £111 including return postage.

Sending back Monday, hoping to have back for next weekend as they are quoting a one day repair service.

Thanks for all the feedback.

mojo are also the UK importer and distributor for fox suspension, so your shock will be in safe hands.

Hi

Thanks for the reassurance.

As a mate has pointed out, by the time Mo Jo have serviced the shock, it will be like a new unit.

What brilliant service from Mo Jo

Sent shock back Monday, they called me at about 9:30 Tuesday morning to confirm costs and take payment, throughout Tuesday I received text updates, finished, despatched etc, Wednesday lunchtime repaired / serviced unit delivered home.

One happy son, bike ready for more abuse at the weekend!!
