Old MTB - Best way to get rid of it?

Morning all, and Happy New Year! 
I've recently taken delivery of a new Stumpjumper, which leaves me with my old bike to get rid of, and I'm not too sure of the best approach to take. I can see three options...
1. Sell it as a complete bike on eBay.
2. Strip off the components worth having, sell them individually and bin the rest.
3. Sell the seat post, put it towards a cheap second-hand hardtail frame and use other components to give me a cheapo XC bike for fire trail rides with the family.
The bike in question is a 2005 Specialized FSR XC Pro. It's essentially this one, except the UK version was fitted with Deore hydraulic discs rather than mechanical BB7s. The UK website archive doesn't go back that far though.
Upgrades over the years include the following...
- New wheels (in 2014) built with Pacenti TL28 rims and refurbished Hope XC hubs.
- XT Shadowfire rear mech
- Hope headset. This went on in about 2008, but is still going strong. Can headsets be shifted to a new frame once they've been fitted?
- Gravity Dropper seatpost, factory refurbished in 2013 with 1" and 4" drop.
- Rockshox Reba SL fork (2007, iirc) with 80-115mm travel.
I'm currently veering towards the idea of option 3, as the forks would be ideal for that, plus I doubt I'd get much of my money back from the rear mech and the new wheels, but thought I'd see what you lot thought first.

C But you knew that already! 
You should get £100 for the seatpost but it is January and most people dont have much cash... that will go a long way to a frame. You might be a bit limited for frames based on the 1 1/8th headset size but bike-discount have some ok looking Cube frames and CRC have some Ridleys that look ok for what you want too.
Personally I'd hunt around for a s/h Cotic Soul, Pipedream Sirrus or Rock Lobster though as they were all hihg quality steel (Reynolds 853) which still makes for a superb hardtail frame and they ride better than lower end alu bikes...

I might well have to start a new "what frame" thread, but in the meantime, what do people think is wrong with this Cube Rahmen frame from Bike Discount in Germany for about £100 including delivery?
