Fixed front fork for a Cube MTB

Picked up a full sus Cube AMS pro for offroad stuff so going to lighten up my current Cube Analog hardtail for road & forest trail stuff. Bike is this, http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Cube-Analog-Disc-Mountain-... (although it has a rock shock recon off a 2013 acid on it)
I am a complete bike numpty, so what make/size fixed front fork would I need (don't want to spend a fortune!)
Also, given it is going to be road/forest track only can I ditch the 3 cogs up front & go single ring?
As said, I don't want to spend a lot on it but the frame fits me so want to keep it.

Looking at the picture it's a 1&1/8" steerer, 9mm QR, post mount disc brake, with a drop out to crown length of usually between 425 and 450mm to replace a 100mm suspension fork.

My preference would be a pair of Exotic Carbons, I've got a pair on my Singlespeed and I like.

Thanks, top end of what I want to pay but will be able to sell my spare set of offroad wheels & the rockshock fork to fund that I expect.

They do come up second hand fairly regular.

Cheaper option, you'll need a front brake mount for this, but you can get them for a couple of quid.

Carbon or CroMo steel. Steel will be 1-2lb heavier. Alu will be light but harsh imo.

That PX steel one will do nicely I reckon. Only about 300g more than their Carbon ones (that I've got albeit 29er)
