Base layers for the tall and skinny man

I'm needing to get some decent base layers this year. The problem I suffer from is getting a top with long arms and body but cut for a small build person. Ive a 28 inch waist but am 5ft11. My current tops tend to ride up at the back or are rather baggy which does not hold a lot of warmth

Anyone with similar build whos found some nice warm clothing?

I'm 6'2", and wear small Rapha base layers - arm and body length is fine, surprisingly.

Most Italian cycle-clothing manufacturers make sizes that would be perfect for you.
I have Santini and NorthWave cycling clothes and both makes are long on limb and tight on torso.

I am a similar build, 30" waist though! I find Craft and Assos baselayers very good, both makes have good thermal properties and are a good tight fit.

Take a look at Icebreaker. The best thermal gear I've ever used although not cheap. I'm tall and slim and find their stuff fits me really well - certainly no problems skiing or mtb-ing in it

Tall and skinny? Skinny maybe, but I wouldn't say you're particularly tall. Or are you in Japan?

Try rowing companies, they regularly cater for the taller chap.

I'm 6'3 and 32 inch waist - and medium Rapha merino base layers fit great

Base layer on before bib shorts. Will solve your (non) issue

Im 6'1" and have a 28" waist, and have no issues with base layers, just wear them under your bibs. Jerseys and shorts are a different matter, but I did find a Pearl Izumi Jersey which fits me perfectly, better than the Rapha and Assos stuff I have.
