But the big question is, silver or black 105 groupset? Hoping wheels will be grey as well, probably silver spokes.

I'm being indecisive and can't male my mind up.

I'd almost always choose black over silver. On that frame, black, definitely!

Hey stop that kind of talk right now, I'm already over budget!! Although it would complement beautifully..

Also thinking the hard anodized H Plus Sons would go a treat.

What this man says, Ultegra dark grey would look good on that frame:

Its "only" £175 more new from wiggle and the parts will be 60% of that on ebay.

Even at £175 its only the price of a Rapha winter jersey - and in return you get a more beautiful bike.

I honestly (now) think that there is value in the diff between Ult and 105 (maybe physiological)

Well I've bowed to peer pressure, Ultegra chainset and rear mech ordered. I don't need the calipers as its a disc frame, and all the rest of the parts are the same colour whether ultegra or 105.

Surely you have to fit an Ultegra front mech too, just for matching/OCD reasons. It'll be, what, £5 more than the equivalent 105 front mech?

The bike will look fantastic when it's built. Don't forget to post pics on here!

Ah yes a good point, I thought the front mechs were pretty much the same but that lovely bit of grey on the Ultegra one needs to be done.

I will start a build thread too when some more bits have arrived.

They have a kind of light green tinge to them, nice rims though, I have the polished version on my Colnago.

surely a campag groupset would look nicer?
Centaur is now de-listed so you could grab a bargain and they come in a nice black...alternatively, how about carbon athena if you want 11 speed? much more attractive than anything from shimano.
