Waterproof MTB Shorts

The last few rides I have gone around with a wet backside looking at waterproof shorts but yet again the internet is awash with horror stories so just after some honest reviews.

The couple that have grabbed my attention are:

Endura MT500 Spray shorts - Only appear to be waterproof at the back but possibly more comfortable
Endura MT500 Waterproof shorts - Look to be more of an overtrouser, but all over protection
Altura Attack Waterproof Baggy Shorts

Or any others I may have missed......

Most of the online feedback seems to suggest that they are not very durable, but interested to hear peoples opinions.

MT500 spray 3/4s. Got mine last week and they've worked well over 2 wet(ish) 3 hour off road rides. Not been raining but wet under-wheel.

Normally I wear Singletrack shorts but these seem to offer more protection

Endura MT500 shorts for me, completely dry even when it's p'ing down.... no more uncomfortably wet crotch and backside.

I use the Altura's but would also recomend the MT500's

MT500 Spray shorts are fine if the ground is wet but not in the rain, once wet they weigh a bloody tonne!
