Campagnolo Super Record 11

Looking at getting the SR 11 (mechanical) groupset for a current build

Who's using it? Any thoughts, advice or recommendations?

For the money I'd probably go electric. It really is much better.

I don't think it would fit / look good on the frame ( a Cinelli Supercorsa)

But happy to listen to opinions

I don't agree with Okgo. I don't like electric and yes I have used it. I have super record on my super six. It's great, TBH it really isn't any better at shifting than 9000 durace or RED, but I like to look of it, the weight of the shifters and I do like the fact that the controls are separated for brake up/down shift.
I guess at that level, it's all about personal prefence rather than out right performance.

what you currently using?

I have a fair old mix. 5 bikes on Campag from Veloce through to Record and 2 on Shimano which are 105 and an Ultegra/Dura Ace mix

Generally I prefer Campag although I'd like to put full Dura Ace on a build but I don't think it's this one. Think I have to stay Italian on this frame...

Does 11 speed go "out of tune" any more than 10?

Lovely groupset though, the rear mech is a work of art.

A friend is building his Pegoretti up with Super Record RS.

My super six is SR RS. I've just done the Alpine challenge where they had support mechanics. One of whom actually worked at the campag factory in Italy as a techy/mechanic trainer. he Liked my bike and asked if he could have a play with the groupset. set up spot on now. His advice was to ensure you have a tension adjuster on the front mech as the front mechs like/need the cable to be tight all the time to get good shifts.
