Has anyone done the Peak District MTB Challenge?

Found whilst searching for off road rides.
Tempted with the 15 miler - but not sure if my fitness is there yet as climbing wrecks my legs at the moment.

My average ride length is 10 miles but thats mainly twisty single track.

What are the 'technical' sections like?
Thanks

Sounds like fun, but it's the day before the Three Peaks Cyclocross, so I'll be giving it a miss.

Think of it as a warm up.

There are some evil bits of trail around Castleton but the 15 miler looks fine

You will walk a bit on the climb to Jaggers @17miles but its mostly benign
The drop from Hope cross at the top of this is pretty nice and not too stupid but be sure to pause at the top and take some pics

The height gain from miles 7-9 is similarly kind on the old landslipped road
Depending what youre used to the descent from here is OK too

It looks like a well thought out novice route so my advice would be to go for it smile
