Scotland uplift MTB......where's best?

Been out biking today and we were chatting about a trip to Scotland to use the ski lifts as we're lazy buggers.

Where is best to go. We'd be travelling from Newcastle so it's not too far and we'd probably squeeze in a round of golf on the way back.

I've no idea about Scotland, but Hamsterley has uplift days, for what it's worth!

Cheers, I was in Hamsterley yesterday, but just road the hills, as I'm normally happy to do.

I've never tried the lifts with the bike, do loads of skiing, so thought it would be good to try it.

Most uplift services in the UK tend to serve the DH riders and therefor proper DH tracks. Bikepark Wales is the only place i have been that can cater for trail and DH riders such is the large variety of courses on offer. Fantastic tracks from flowy blues to harder blacks and everything in between.
