It's fine when you do it like that. But from what I gather people were standing right in the middle of roads and not paying attention to the actual riders.

We see people getting all excited on the big climbs in France, I rather hoped the Brits would be more sensible. Inevitably a few can't control themselves.

The crowds were remarkably well behaved I thought, both from what I saw on Buttertubs and also the TV coverage. I saw a few idiots but this isn't surprising given there were 2+ million along the route. Didn't see many running alongside the riders on the climbs which you see a lot of in France.

I was more thinking that the background would be replaced, but yeah, be insulting to the poor girl should you wish.

That's not during the racing itself. Looks like it was taken during the ride out before the start on Day 1.
