Cube LTD Pro 2013

Hi all,

Have an opportunity to get a 2013 model Cube LTD Pro at a good discount over RRP.

I live close to Bedgebury, so want to use it here. Also other trail riding, although I'd like to think I'll get into some rougher stuff too.

Searching this forum, this model comes up a fair bit, and nothing negative seems to get said about it.

Any thoughts? Is buying a 2013 model at a 30% discount seem like a good enough deal? Any owner experiences to share?

I bought an end of season LTD Race nearly 3 years back. Bargain with around £300 off.

Great bikes, perfect for covering ground fast. Often not the best for anything too heavy as the head angles can be a bit steep. Well equipped and nothing has gone wrong in all that time.

I bought this exact model September last year. £750 including some SPD pedals.

Haven't used it at any mountain bike centres, but have used reasonably extensively for cross-country stuff on Exmoor and surrounding areas.

The Manitou air forks I find very supple and don't bottom out. The overall control seems very good (but my old bike was on Rockshox Darts, so a bit ancient). The back end is lively on rocky bridlepaths and can get a bit skippy on ruts. Gear shift is usual shimano smoothness. Gearing is quite low, so I am contemplating fitting a larger gear on the crank for the big descents.

Other than that, I really like it.

I'm 5' 10 and 11st7lbs, so pretty average size. I got the 18" frame and it fits very nicely.

Paul's cycles had a 20" frame one too. Wonder where that one went
