A good friend of mine has just finished and won the TransAm Bike Race.
This is a race across America, similar to RAAM, but this is unsupported.
The total distance is around 4400 miles and Mike finished in 16 days or so.
His average was about 250 miles a day, across a route that has some very sizeable mountains along the way.
Mike also set the round the world record a few years ago, which was 18,000 miles in 92 days.
