Giro Coverage

I'm busy at the moment and don't have the time to sit and watch the giro live. I have been enjoying the end of the extended highlights on Sky Sports on a night, just found the time to watch the full show to find that the Darts is running over live, they failed to mention anything about rescheduling.

Anyone know whether it will be shown later on or when else I can catch the highlights of today's stage? Eurosport are pretty unreliable with their schedule as far as I can tell, especially with the French Open on.

Please no spoilers, I've spent all day trying to avoid the result and I'm afraid to google this in case I find the result.

I'm in the same position as you - I've avoided the results all day. I'm assuming the Giro will follow the darts as soon as its finished - I think Eurosport are only showing live coverage - Sky Sports are generally better at their scheduling than Eurosport.

It was the same with the tennis overrunning two weeks ago. You cab't series link highlights as they're on different channels. F'kin Sky.

Yeh you just have to keep an eye on the listings and see when the highlights are repeated.

It's normally 7 or 8am the next day.

Eurosport are showing live and have a "highlights" show (usually just a repeat of the last hour of the live broadcast rather than a proper edited highlights package) in the evening and that is usually repeated the following morning.

I don't have SkySports so no idea on that.

Meh. I tuned in not half an hour ago, expecting to see live coverage of the Giro.

What do I get? Feckin French Open Tennis, with some 'toys out the pram' halfwit sat in a chair arguing with the umpire. It's happened with the highlights shows, too, with other sports taking priority when they overrun. Arsebiscuits!

I've taken to recording the live broadcast so I've got it to watch at any time rather than waiting for the highlights. Usually just the last 30-60mins.

I think I'm going to have to try recording the live race too. I got Tivo to record the highlights a couple of nights ago, but the stoopid tennis was overrunning again. How the hell can they hope to develop a regular TV audience for cycling when they don't show it when they say they will????

Eurosport will always delay non-live broadcasts if live ones overrun. Understandable really. For last year's Tour I took to recording the highlights and the next program.

I tend to record the live program and watch the last 60 mins at some point in the evening, haven't missed any of the action so far this year
