What speed is this free hub?

I'm working on my first bicycle project and I want to run single speed. My friend gave me a wheel and I need to find out what speed the hub is so I can buy a single speed converter to slide on to it (I think).

Can anyone tell from this picture what speed the hub is?

Looks like 8/9/10 to me but I don't have one to measure here. 7 speed is quite a bit bit shorter and that doesn't look like it is. They both use the same spline though so if you get a kit that had a bunch of thin spacers you can just use however many you need.

Just buy this spacer kit and use that hub and freewheel. You can fiddle about with the spacers to get the sprocket aligned with the chainset. You get a 16t sprocket too.

If it's vertical drop outs, you'll need to be creative with the chain length, chain rings and sprocket...

Ah, now I understand the Q - yes that's definitely a 7, 8, 9 - I've just done a similar conversion myself.

I simply didn't register the phrase "what speed is this...". Brain fade.
