RIP Steve Worland

Saw this yesterday on Twitter. Genuinely sad passing of someone whose artciles inspired me as a young teenage mountain biker. His feature and test writing in MBUK was always a favourite. Only recently I had the chance to exchange emails with him after getting some parts from him though Retrobike - and he was happy to share memories of what he referred to as the good old days.

58 years young.

I've also been reading his articles since I first got into mountainbiking well over 20 years ago.
Always liked what he had to say as our ages aren't too dissimilar and I could relate to his articles.

A sad day indeed.

Was reading some of his stuff in ST yesterday. Shocking news. I've been around mtbs since the very early 90s and Steve seemed to be around for most of that time. Was really pleased when he started contributing to ST.
Sincere condolences to family and friends.

Very sad news - I remember Steve from my early days of mountain biking back in the early 90s.
RIP fella - lets hope it's 'rugged and windswept' where you are now!
