Help deciding between these two or something else?

Hello All,

Can anybody help me with choosing between these two please or if there are some other recommendations too all are welcome.

It will be mainly used for country park rides.

With them being a similar price, the VooDoo Bizango is the obvious winner between those two. Shimano chainset and hydraulic brakes won it for me, given a straight choice between the two bikes. The SR Suntour coil spring fork on the 'dale isn't all that either, although I'm not familiar with the Raidon fork, but air shocks seem to be held in higher regard than coil springs.

Personally I'd look for another alternative, something a little more left-field from a lower volume manufacturer, but that's just me, and I'm afraid I've not got any helpful suggestions for alternatives for you as I'm currently forbidden from buying any new bikes, and therefore not researching options.

Thanks for the reply. It seems the Cannondale does have hydraulic brakes, it's evans site thats wrong as the Cannondale site indicates differently.

I was very tempted by the voodoo - I ended up with a Boardman Pro HT 2013 in the sale (still on BTW).

I wanted a 29er but the 26" Boardman was both cheaper by time discounts were stacked - better spec but the main reason was the weight.
3kg lighter makes a lot of difference (or it does when your 60kg and climbing is your weak spot).

FYI if they still have one your size and youre willing to go for a 26er I found it impossible to beat. Loving the bike, its agile, light and the x9 gruppo is great.

Out of the two you've listed, I'd take the voodoo - I nearly did. (There's 10% british cycling discount and another 10% in the current sale on it as well).

I've got a dale and felt road bikes and a vintage Marin and I'd find a few extra quid for the boardman.

Great discount and good spec.

I was going to suggest something more hybrid-ish - like the Whyte Malvern at £649 (below) but I actually think the Boardman is a better deal.

I'm not hell bent on one, there just seems to be loads around that price range? I couldn't find a weight on that bike either.

I had a look at the Boardman, but unless I'm using the Halfords site wrong can't seem to see where they are in stock to sit on one. I'm away with work at the moment hence the internet searching for knowledge when I get back.
