Not tried the code on anything other than the Edge Touring tonight which can be had for a stonkng £139.99 ATM which is about £60 off and by far the best deal on there.

The code works some days and not others so if it doesn't work then pop back and keep an eye - its been on and off several times this week.

Just mapping really and all the usual HRM etc, don't currently have a smartphone but will end up with one eventually. Since I got back into cycling again a couple of years ago I have had a 200 and now own a 500 and have been happy with all but they are never enough. The 500 is great but sometimes when on sportives and signs have been turned around it would be good to know I was going in the right direction lol

Have you tried the breadcrumb mapping on the 500? More than adequate for your needs.

I have 200, 500 and Touring. I have HRM with 500 but TBH don't bother with it as I know when i've been busting my lungs and my HR is high. I'm sure there's more science to it if you take your training seriously.

The Touring is an unbelievable deal at 30% off (£140) in the Garmin shop and is IMHO great value as a true cycle navigation device. The Edge Touring + is also good value at £175 which is compatible with HRM if that's a must have. Mind you, bump up to £210 and you can have the Edge 800.

Going to be honest here and say I did download a route the other week and tried to get it to work with no luck so the answer is no

Nice find OP.
Just compared vs Halfords (assuming you or a mate have a BC discount) and the only model I can see better price is the Edge 800 Performance and Nav bundle. Usually £319.99, down to £299.99 this weekend, and then £269.99 with British Cycling discount. That makes it £10 cheaper than Garmins website
For all other equvilent bundles Garmin is cheaper with the 30% discount (assuming its free postage - I cant check, the site just crashed!)

edit: postage is £4.99, which means Halfords are £5 cheaper with the 810 Performance bundle too (£300.09).
Damn you OP - I can see an upgrade to me Edge 200 coming on...

I got a Garmin 810 performance bundle for myself and two mated via Halford's 3 for 2 offer on bike accessories, worked out at £290 each I think so a decent saving on list.
