What electric bike did I ride?

A few months ago at Newcastle's Sky Ride, one of our local bike shops let me have a test ride on an electric bike. Trouble is I can't remember for the life of me what make / model it was.
It looked like a traditional town bike, straight bars, mudguards, rear carrier. I think it had built in lights and computer.
The real surprise was the electric motor, which kicked in from standing, providing additional acceleration up to 15 mph. It used regenerative braking to recharge the batteries.
Does anyone recognise it from this description?
(Yes I know I can go down there in the morning, but it will bug me the whole evening)
