Caadx 700c tyre recommendations

Hi everyone,

Sorry if this is a common topic, I'm relatively new around these parts a 'tyres' is a difficult thing to search pistonheads for.

I have a relatively new Cannondale CAADx 105 which came with Schwalbe Sammy Slick 700x35c tyres. My front tyre has a giant gash in it though which keeps causing punctures.

Can anyone recommend me some tyres for commuting on the bike for winter (Can't see myself doing much other riding until it warms up again).

Continental GP 4 seasons in 28C flavour if you want large volume, 25C's also work well and aren't any narrower (just less diameter)

If you are just commuting, and it's all on tarmac, then I'd second the recommendation for Continental Grand Prix 4Seasons. I run 700c x 25mm width and absolutely love them. Best all round tyre I've used. Whilst not puncture proof they are as tough as you'll find while at the same time maintaining a decent degree of comfort and excellent grip in both wet and dry conditions.

personally I love my gator skins...Never had a puncture in mine (so far, touch wood etc)

Road use, I assume? Currently running some Vredestein Fortezza Tricomps in 25mm trim (after fixing a split in them) on a CAADX and I'm really liking them. LOTS of volume. Ridiculous amounts. As a result the ride is oh-so-plush. You can pick them up cheap from Ribble, too.

Why not just a replacement Schwalbe SS? They get good reviews and run well in my experience.
