After just completing my first 12 months of cycling and wondering when the spending on expensive kit was ever going to stop I couldn't believe it when I found this. Used it for the 1st time at the weekend - it's awesome and only costs £1.55 bounce

No more gel all over my fingers and bars, no more sticky pockets from empty sachets, easy to have little and often rather than a whole sachet in one go and as a result (probably the biggest benefit) I ended up consuming more and therefore being better fuelled.

Can't understand why I've not seen these used or recommended before!

Use on old fruit shoot bottle, they look remarkably similar!

Think of the waste though. You won't get all the gel out of the bottle for it sticking to the sides etc. Ok, when it is full you will get a good mouthful but after that I can only think it would be a struggle.

Also, I only ever use one gel on a ride so filling that bottle would be over nutritionalising (I made that word up, quite proud of it...).

I tend to agree with Viperz, looks like the gel would just stick to the sides and you would end up losing all your gel.

Also, gels are one handed anyway?

Add a bit of water to the gel to make it less viscous. Then they'll be less wastage. Not to mention the consistency will be less......seminal

Like the fruit shoot bottle idea, i'll steal that one! smile

I wouldn't want a bulky bottle in my Jersey pocket, and I would only carry 4 gels when doing a long sportive, not on weekend rides.

I'm oot!
