Speedo problems

I've just swapped my cycle computer onto my new road bike off my hardtail and it now only seems to be reading half of my road speed. I've adjusted the position of the magnet and sensor, moving them up and down, closer/ further apart from each other and it doesnt seem to make a difference.

Any thoughts?

Did you recalibrate the cycle computer?

Unless the wheels on the new roadie are twice the size of the hardtail?
I'd check that the info is all still correct on the computer - wheel size, MPH v's KPH, ETC.

Ah wheel size good point! I did reset it before swapping it over but not sure if I ever set it up for the hardtail, apart from the time and mph setting.

ill try and dig the instructions out to see if it can be adjusted for different wheel size. It was only a cheap halfords jobbie so no big deal if it cant, I'll pick up another tomorrow.

Thanks for the link. I managed to find the instruction manual earlier. Changed the wheel size and it seems to have done the trick
