Rock Shox SID X-loc Operation

I have a set of Rock Shox SID 120 with X-loc on my bike. I have found manuals to shorten the hose and bleed the system but can anyone tell me which is the locked position, I think it is with the lever extended and unlocked, lever compressed and then what the actual flood gate bit is supposed to do. Not sure if it needs bleeding as no position seems to lock the fork out?
