Basic flat road pedals - where?

Having trouble finding some.

Have bought a winter trainer (CAAD8)and want my son to be able to use it (he's 13 but quite tall so fits a 54cm) and I don't want to start him on clipless as he's not the most coordinated or agile of chaps and I KNOW he will be straight off at the first junction we get to !

I seem to have managed to have no spare flat pedals to put on and finding some basic cheap ones is proving tricky.


And suggestions?

I've got some at the bottom of the random parts box in the garage if you want them, nothing special but similar to those from halfords.

MKS are good pedals but I'd go for the MKS MT E pedals (available from wiggle) which look a bit nicer!

Everyone who rides clipless has "joined the club" at some point or another.

Get him some M540s - they're double sided so you can get in easily and release really easily too.

Decathlon do a decent range of cheapo basic pedals.

Probably cheaper than Halfords.
