Having had a brief ride up there does anyone know a good source of accurate useable maps or how the trails are marked I was there on a course and both times I tried the Red course I came out somewhere different and less rollable than I had intended.

The above might help you out. Did you do a skills course with Adam?

For the Red stay to the right at the top, there's about 3 options here. Then there's a reasonable sized drop just before the table-top to be careful of. After that you shouldn't have too many issues, round the hairpin/berm and follow the trail down to the push-up hill. You can go straight across here and do the last little rooty section to the very bottom of the hill.

Other runs to have a look at are Wonderland and Ridge Run. Wonderland is a bit rough up top but nice once you past the road. Go at your own pace down Ridge Run, the faster you go the further you'll fly.

I couldn't even find the starting point. I ride follow the dog or the monkey and don't ride a DH bike so just wanted to have a look round after my ride. Do you drive along the same road that the monkey trail uses? Just after crossing the A road?

It's easy to get to Stile Cop from the Monkey itself, I ride a standard trail bike round the Dog/Monkey and then divert off to play at Stile Cop, no need for a DH bike.

The easiest way is from the top of Lower Cliff. There's a dirt road to the right when you get to the top of the climb, follow this back up and it turns in to a short stoney descent, at the bottom turn left and follow the fire-road, you'll then be at the bottom of the push-up for the downhill runs. Easy peasy.

Edit: I've just realised I've posted as my old username despite forgetting the password!
