Wheel compatibility

Hi all,

This guy who was supposed to fix my wheel has gone off and left me in the st after 6 weeks he turns around today and says he doesn't have time to do it because he has a new job and he made some excuse about the parts never arriving etc. Waste of 6 weeks of good weather.

I haven't got a clue what axle sizes I need or QR sizes I need for a new wheel set or whether I can just buy a new rear wheel separately?

Frame is a ragley blue pig, 10 speed cassette with disc and the rear wheel is bent out of all question of fixing it.

I'm just building one up. The rear is a standard 135mm wide QR. Go to somewhere like www.superstarcomponents.co.uk and get a rear wheel with hub all built for you (or just buy prebuilt from them) and buy a rear 135mm QR while you're at it.

If you're going down the Superstar route may I suggest opting for a 10mm / 135mm hub and one of their 10mm bolt on/through skewers, they really stiffen up the rear end for an extra tenner or so.
