Open Paves......an experience?

My current choice of winter tyres are Vredestein Fortezza Quattro TriComp's, excellent tyre in all weathers but a definite 23mm tyre!
One of the sets is now looking quite cut-up so I am looking to replace them before the inevitable happens. I have read good things about the Open Paves but would welcome any first hand experience? LBS swears by them but then again he would as he wants to sell me a set!!!

Very, VERY good. Used 'em for a few winters now (24mm and 25mm) and on the cobblestones of Flanders. Never given me any problems, grip very well and roll nicely. Not the longest lasting of tyres, but when they're this good, you don't care. Put many supposedly decent summer tyres to shame 
I'll be switching to them soon, albeit in 27mm in readiness for next years Flanders and P-R.

i've used green open paves in 24mm and absolutely love them ..... however I did have one cut up badly thru the side wall on the 2nd ride (just before I started at 100mile sportive). I put a bit cardboard inside and it got me round.
best run at slightly lower pressures than usual.
The Conti 4-seasons in 25mm size are also excellent ... I'm running them on some H-son archetype rims which are wider than usual clinchers and they roll very well even with 80-85 psi
Also I was taking too another of my cycling mates, saying I can't remember having issues with winter grip years ago (80's). His theory on this whilst strokin his beard was that we all used to use 27x1 1/4 rims with fatter tyres or tubs AND pumps only got the pressure up to 75 psi AND they had tread.
