Squeaky Brakes after cleaning

The last few times I have washed my bike I have ended up with squeaky brakes. I put this down to using Muck-off for cleaning and getting some on the rims.

Any advice on what to use for cleaning the wheels?

Any advice on how to cure the squeaking if/when it occurs, apart from riding the bike until it goes away?

Should I remove both wheels and just clean the bike in the stand?

Did you spray any lube etc near the rims?
