I have finally sorted out my bent crank with a new BB and chainset. When setting it up I noticed some chatter when on the smallest cogs at the back. Closer inspection has revealed that they are also bent.
Is this common for so many things to bend? I have no idea how I managed to bend the crank. Never fallen off it and it is well looked after, cleaned and lubed regularly. The bike is a Trek 1.1. Being entry level most of the components are un branded. Is that the problem? I commute every day and use it for training as well so its had some miles through it.
I also managed to buckle the rear wheel but that was down to my fat arse I think.
