A good write up on cycling in the Netherlands. Interesting that 31% there have a bike as main transport . Only 2% here!!

I guess bike friendliness is defined by stuff like cycle lanes, bike parking, tax breaks etc. France is bike friendly because of drivers attitudes and quiet roads more than anything tangible so is harder to rank
