I've been commuting on a hybrid daily and doing some tow path MTB rides for a while now and enjoy it.

I've had an old (1990s) Raleigh Road Bike in the garage unused for a few years - I decided to get it going and see if I enjoyed doing some proper road miles. I ended up getting a bit carried away and have replaced virtually everything (Shifters, Chainset, Front and Rear Mechs, Wheels, BB, headset, Chain, Cassette) with a combination of 9 speed Tiagra and Sora bits that I've sourced from Ebay and Clearance Sales. Much to my surprise it all works and rides nicely. In retrospect I would have been better off putting the thing in the skip and getting a new base model Allez or similar - but I've enjoyed building it and have learnt to do virtually every job on a bike along the way.

But it still looks like a ratty old bike with some new parts on it - so I've decided to port all my new parts onto a new frame. I see Ribble sell the 7005 Sportive Aly Frame and Carbon fork for just under £200 which seems about right. I keep an eye on Ebay but everything there seems to be either old junk or high end stuff. Any suggestions apart from Ribble where I should look for a frame and fork for ~£200 ?

Depending on sizing this could be worth a look with the current discount - you'd still need to find forks though

Dolan and Graham Weigh frames are in your budget, or get the frame and forks blasted and powder coated for £60ish, or a full on restoration by Ellis Briggs for about the £120 mark.

It's way over budget, but if you can stretch....
