I like to track my rides using an app on the iphone. I was using a holder I bought from ebay which is enclosed and thus waterproofed! However, over a particularly bumpy surface yesterday it decided to go solo and spat my phone onto the floor. Luckily all fine but I need a very rugged case to replace it so this doesn't happen again. Any recommendations?

I just sling mine in the top (waterproof) pocket of my Camelbak, works fine - although I think the speedo is off, it's seems to only register a max speed between 30 and 40 mph and I'm SURE I'm deep into three figures on some descents!

I found from experience the best case is a large metal box on the car park, I smashed my phone twice in a year carrying it on my bike, sods law says the only sharp item in your bag will line up with the only weak point.

I bought a Topeak one from Halfords fro my MB.. worked perfectly well and you could still use the touch screen through the plastic screen.. About £20 IIRC..

I have a Griffin Survivor. It has been brilliant as a protective case but there is no way to mount it to the bike.
http://www.griffintechnology.com/survivor/original It was the video that sold it to me when I was researching cases for my MTB rides as I wanted something strong. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0XJtbYaEbM It is a bit bulky but I don't even check the phone if I come off as I know it will be OK.
