As per the title. My lovely Lake shoes are looking a bit grubby. I have been cleaning them with wipes of different descriptions (baby wipes and antibac wipes) but they need something more.

How do you clean them?

Don't know what type/finish of material your Lakes are but my Sidi's are a glossy finish which I just wipe when I get home with a baby wipe tbh. The material inside and around the edge is starting to change colour though and I'm not sure how to clean that but hopefully someone will post something. If not get them dirty then buy a new pair, not sure if the n+1 rule applies to shoes though wink

I would just use a soapy sponge with a bit of warm water and gently wipe them down.

Cleaning White Shoes?

Best source of advice for that malarkey would have to be a serving (or former) army PTI. Pristine white daps were always the order of the day.

"All the better to contrast with my buff, bronzed body, my dear!"

^^ This ^^

Cleans anything. Be aware it will give leather a pretty hard time (in the mistaken belief that leather actually gets used in the manufacture of shoes any more). Also good for steering wheels, marks on paintwork, grout etc etc. If magic eraser doesn't get dirt off it's not coming off. Buy em on Ebay for about £3 for 100 from China.

Nail brush, warn soapy water.

Or chuck them in the washing machine on a 30 degree cycle. You may wish to do this on a day when your wife is out of the house.
