I've just bought my first proper cycle jersey and it fits nice up top but at the back where the extended bit hangs down over your bum it is loose. Ie not super tight like the rest of the jersey. Should I look for another which is more for a skinny waist or is this correct. Any advice would be great! I'm tall and skinny which probably does not help me.

Unless the loose back extension begins to look like an 'A-line' skirt, don't sweat it, just ride.

If the back of your jersey does look like a skirt, you'll probably want to see a doctor about some hormones, just to be on the safe side wink

Seriously, though. If it's not actually flapping about, it'll be tight enough. If you have it too tight, it'll dig in at the waist at the front, and if it's got a full length zip, it'd put too much strain on the zip if it's too tight. Different manufacturers have different ideas of what constitutes 'S', 'M', and 'L' as it is, there is never going to be consensus on what exactly is meant by 'a snug fit'. I'd rather have the problem you do, than the issue I have with my WyndyMilla Welsh Champion's jersey, which even at size 'L' is a very very "close" fitting garment (one that was euphemistically described as an 'Italian racing fit' by the shop). At the moment, I can't wear it for fear of arrest on charges of 'outraging public decency' - I must lose some weight. wink

Size on jerseys is all over the shop depending on brand

I have same issue, its ok as it covers my arse crack if I dont wear bibs when out of the saddle!!

In future try on in shop, or stick to a couple of brands that you know fit
