Hardtail Frame Replacement - Sizing

I currently run a 2005 Orange Crush Frame which I am looking to replace with a 2012 Pace RC325.5.

My Orange is a 19" frame and Pace comes in either a 18.5 or 19.5 frame, I have looked at the Geometry of the two (although a 2013 Crush as I can't seem to find the 2005 table) What are the critical dimensions to look for when comparing, is Effective Top Tube the key one?

I'm around 6ft, I have tried an 18.5" 325 in the past which didn't feel cramped but felt different which I put down to it not being my bike...

At 6ft, same as me, you'll probably find the larger frame better. But you really should try an make every effort to try before you buy.

Thanks, it's not an easy bike to find for a test ride though, Dalby is a good 5hrs for me to get to.

Its probably just our slow connection, its quite a big PDF file to download.

Having a quick look it is obvious that its changed so I will study it in more detail tonight.
