Yep exactly what I thought, the drive was never financial! It's a talent that he perfected and used it to finally make money. If you haven't see the new Red Bull clip with all of their sponsors in it is well worth the watch!

Correct. Look at his early stuff - knackered bike, all done cheaply in city centres. The sponsorship means better locations but the riding's no different.

Business Insider... not the first place I'd look for some Danny Mac vids, but any port in a storm I guess ha ha.

How does he do it? It's a combination of quite unbelievable skill, lots of hard work and practice and physical and mental strength.

RedBull's money makes videos like this possible though. I wouldn't like to guess the budget but I know from watching the last episode last night that it took a year to make, the finished article looks like it's easy for him, I have to admit I didn't really consider it was all one long take - the reality it's thousands and thousands of takes and the vast majority of the ones on the cutting room floor are of him crashing, it must have taken a huge toll on him, especially so soon after back surgery.
