Fred Sherwood Trucks & Cyclists

Thought I would put this in here rather than GG as I will probably be told to go and pay some road tax.

Anyone work for Fred Sherwood or know anyone who does? If so congratulate them on their treatment of cyclists.

I was riding down the A5D south of MK the other day and got passed by 13 HGVs. 2 of them were Fred Sherwood and they were the only ones who gave me plenty of room and moved right over, they also waited long enough to pass before moving back.

The others buzzed me so close or moved over a bit and then swung straight back in front of me. One came so close I was able to check the tread depth on his wheels.

Not sure if it is company policy or those drivers just happened to do it but it certainly stood out.

You may be in the right place too, I saw a Justin Sherwood racing a Porsche 911 GT3 at Donnington and the car was decaled up as the Fred Sherwood group.

So it looks like they are bike friendly petrol heads!

It can be so random. I had a well known haulier driver give me loads of room and a thumbs up recently only for his colleague to cut me up 5miles down the road.
