Changing casette

I know that I need a little more 'spin' on climbs (usually on the Quantocks) and have an 11-32 casette at the moment. Will I noticed enough of a difference changing to an 11-34 or is it worth looking for a 36.

Alternatively there is option 2 which is suck it up and pedal harder!

Im assuming youre talking MTB?

FWIW I went from 34 to 32 after needing a new cassette and getting a corking deal on an XT 32

I notice it on the steepest climbs eg 20% and above but am happy to MTFU and appreciate the discount

Not sure I have an opinion on what to replace it with actually when the time comes
34 was nice to have but Ive never bailed and had to walk with he 32

Yes you'll notice the difference, I've just fitted a 36t (and ditched the grannie) and it's very low.

The top gear is usually the 11 or 12 on most cassettes so you end up with more pronounced differences between gears, but I've always been the type to slam through a few cogs at a time rather than glide from one ratio to the next one at a time so it doesn't bother me.

I run a 9sp using a 36 and I have yet to find a climb that I can't do using this set-up that I can using my 27sp set-up.

Well worth doing and you can then ditch the granny OP.
