Split strava log

Whilst out on a 40 miler my Garmin reset and has split the ride into 2 logs.

Is it possible to put them back together back to one big ride?

Just paste them both into a new file using notepad, and keep just one header and footer.

I opened them in notepad but was presented with 2 files of random symbols.
No idea what I am doing.

Finally sorted by downloading Garmin basecamp. Imported the 2 files and created an adventure. Exported and added to strava
