Oulton Park Bike Ride

Is anyone else doing this charity ride?

I've just signed up. 2hrs cyling around Oulton which Stravea has at 2.6miles long. I hope I can average 20mph which would be 15 laps

I think I'll sign up for this. Shall I be selfish and book the early session for the road bike, or take the MTB and Croozer? The boy would love to do a few laps of Oulton!

I did think about that, but I'm not sure how many times I'd be able to put the Croozer up Clay hill having done a couple of hours on the road bike first

Well I couldn't average 20mph over 2 hours but was able to sustain 19.4mph, covering 14 laps. The family then joined in and so I compleated another 10 laps.

My little lad did 9 laps and my 6 year daughter, 7 laps. Very proud of both of them.

Thanks. There was a tough head wind heading down the Avenue into Cascades where I was hoping to boost my speed. Saying that, it blew me up Clay Hill.

Today has made me want another track car. And a carbon bike

We all raised over £200 for the air ambulance and a local hospice.
