Cycling Superstore?

If you go to Kingston area, you have an Evans, Moores Cycles, Sigma Sport, a Specialized concept store, and electric bike shop and a Halfords (mainly bikes and with reasonably intellegent staff) all within walking distance of each other. Should make a nice afternoon out if you want to look at new bikes!
This won't help, but depending on what you are looking for I would say that you are always better off going to a smaller independent LBS rather than a large chain, in my experience you find 'sales staff' in larger chains, and cyclists working in LBS's......
I accept that Evans etc do have staff who know their onions, but in general they seem to employ sales people trained to sell rather than advise.
What are you looking for and why do you need a superstore? Most smaller shops will still carry a good selection of bikes, after all they have to compete with the big boys!

The warehouse is huge, but the warehouse showroom is no bigger than one of their High Street stores - in fact it is probably quite a bit smaller than their bigger stores. http://www.evanscycles.com/stores/Gatwick-Warehous...
I went there and was quite disappointed, not much in the way of stock or special offers when I went there, other than a couple of ex-demo bikes. The few bits I wanted had to be ordered from the warehouse which meant me hanging around for 20 mins while they were picked, personally I would not bother going back there.

Decathalon is brilliant for "stuff"!... bike stuff, running stuff, hiking stuff, random stuff, casual stuff.....just stuff!!! They have loads of good quality branded bike stuff as well as the European brands that they stock, most of it is Quechua, which I'd say is at least as good as if not better than DHB from Wiggle. pablo said:

Every time I go to the Reading store, the cycling area looks like it's been ran sacked! Most of the stuff has gone and I've only ever seen the Btwin stuff thereGassing Station | Pedal Powered | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
