viewing OS maps on garmin 800

i've had a garmin 800 for a year or so and have realised i've not been using it properly with regards to the OS maps SD card that came with it.

Normally when I plot a route (road typically) and load to the garmin i just follow the route as the INBUILT map functions show.

however, i've woken up to the fact that i should be viewing them as the Ordnance Survery maps. But I can't seem to get them displayed with the route on it. Can anyone help and tell me how to get the OS displays up?

Install the free OSM maps from talkytoaster.info

Go through the menu as per this...........Menu, Spanner icon, system,map,map information select map. Disable the map you dont require and enable the OS map.

I'll secon talkytoaster I got OS maps for my 705 from there.
