Fulcrum Wheels Question

Are these the faultless wheels that had broken spokes?

They're fine. They're round and spin, and their abilities will far, far outweigh yours. That's all you need worry about, so just ride the sodding thing and forget about "upgrades".

I would say they are not really much of an upgrade on the 5's which are not really much different to the 7's.

I think the fulcrum range only starts getting decent at the 3's which I think are similar to Ksyrium Elites.

But they will possibly be a bit quicker than your Aksiums as they have a slightly deeper rim.

I went from Aksiums to the Fuilcrum 1s. As above, probably not worth the bother (as far as performance goes) unless you are going up a few more levels. You could probably lift a 2012 set 2nd hand for a few hundred quid. One word of warning, if you are going to run an 11 speed rear cassette (at least Shimano), you will need an adapter (or rather washer thing), which is about 60quid!!!!

Superfirm and quick wheels though, and they look the business.

So you are saying that from Fulcrum 7 to Quattro's there is no difference?

Doesn't look like it really? Same weight, slightly deeper rim so maybe a bit more aero, slightly better hub maybe. Seems not a lot considering their £300 price tag when there are other good wheels at this price point, shimano rs80 for example.

Good question. I have no idea about that price point. I would buy a good set of used (lightly) zipps which I did.

Living in the highlands the choice of used cycling gear is limited and I like to view, so it has to be new!

I don't race much anymore maybe a few club 10/25tt, what do you think of 50mm aero wheels?

P.S. I like my bling bikes!
