what fate for my hardtail?

So having ridden it for the first time in ages last night, my hardtail frame is slightly too small (18", im a shade over 6ft).

I'm not sure what, if anything to do about it. I could swap the components over to a larger frame, the steerer would probably be a little bit marginal, but then 'what frame' dilemmas come into play, and then theres the fact my full sus already makes a pretty good xc bike, and what do i really want the hardtail to be?

It's a 09 carrera fury (120mm forks) with a few upgrades, originally for xc with a slight chucking about bias. It's a bit slacker than my full suspension bike, and I like that for it being a bit more confident descending.

So the options as I see them..

keep it as is for a sort of play bike, maybe just get some wider bars as its a wee bit bunched up at present.

swap the components onto a bigger frame, something like a 456 or pipedream sirius - something with horizontal dropouts for future hub gears or singlespeed to make a hassle free winter bike.
