You'll get fitter on the fast bike new important health - related equipment, which will make you a better and more attentive husband. If you don't get it, you'll end looking like half ton man, and she'll have to clean you with a rag and a broomstick.
But because you are such a thoughtful (and attentive) husband, and you know how important her shopping trips are to her wellbeing, you will ride the crap bike in bad weather so as not to waste money ruining the important health - related equipment.

I tend to just buy the stuff and then deal with the fallout later, she always threatens divorce, but so far so good
