Seeing as we're nearly a week into March, I thought I'd start a monthly mileage thread following on from February's.

122 miles for me so far - taking advantage of the (relatively) glorious weather, been out for the last 5 days on the trot smile

217km so far. Doing about 500m of climbing a day atm. Going to take it easy next week as I've got a 200km with 3500m of climbing next Sunday.

Well, if we're going to kms... wink
Yes, you'd still be winning! Here I was, pretty smug that I'd been able to get out in the sunshine. What's the double ton next weekend? yikes

Spent from the 1st March to 4th March tucked up in bed with the flu - nothing worse than staring out of the bedroom window at the sun!

I managed to get out yesterday and this evening for a sedate 54 miles though, but once again March is not looking good, away for 3 days next week, 4 days the following week, and then 3 days the week after.....

frown

I guess I should not complain as I have a contract but it really is beginning to get in the way of my cycling!

I could quote rule 24, but it's 'cos I do audax, which is all in km, so all my devices are set in km.

Event is The Delightful Dales. Entry is only £5.50

I didn't start until the 5th but have done 314km over the past 3 days and Laos has a few lumps and bumps in places to slow me down, not like SE England. wink

I also did about 20 miles / 32km on a rental mountain bike but as it didn't have a speedo / odometer I won't count them.

80 something. Was at work all last weekend when the weather was nice and on my first day off, the weather turned and since we have been treated to freezing fog rain and very grey skies. Away from Tuesday this week so cant see myself adding to that a great deal, especially as it's back to work tomorrow. Sportive next Saturday should bump the mileage up a bit

Only 116 miles so far! Didn't manage to get out last weekend, but managed to do 67 this weekend to make up for it. Got a bit of commuting to do this week until my car is MOTed so that should help bump it up a bit.

I managed to get a couple of rides in over the weekend which has knocked the monthly total to a woeful 154 miles which is where it is likely to stay for the rest of the week frown

Stop being a ponce and ride your bike then. If you had the right gear riding today would be fine.

Give the excuse that you can't be arsed, or you need a rest, but not that its cold!

Yes of course its possible, how do you think cyclists the world over manage it?

Certainly it would feel more 'normal' to someone from Scotland than it would an Australian but yes, with the right kit its fine. Cycling gear is designed for it, just make sure you get the right kit.

Cheaper to buy it in the spring than the autumn.
