There are times when I hate fellow cyclists with a passion!
Pushing my bike off the ferry jetty this morning on the way to work, along with every other cyclist on the ferry, some git came the other way riding his (despite all the signs asking politely not to) and ignoring the crowd of people coming the other way.
He collided with a young woman pushing her bike and, before she even had a chance to complain, shouted over his shoulder "Well get out of the f
g way then!", before carrying on as if he had every right to be barging his way through.
I can honestly say I've never wanted to punch anyone quite so badly for years. The man's arrogance was breathtaking.
Hopefully, the word 'cyclist' doesn't really apply to this individual. I'd like to think he's one of those idiots who only ever rides whilst commuting and manages to enrage every other road user on his way to work and back.
Unfortunately, that probably won't stop every non-cyclist he comes across thinking he's typical of two wheeled users.
