What Bike - Sorry !!

Right then - I need a new bike....I say need - you know what I mean.............
I currently have a Bianchi via Nirone 7 105 - its 3 or 4 years old, I want to keep it as my turbo / winter bike and get something new / shiny.
Budget is up to 3k including a decent set of wheels.
I'm doing my first half IM triathlon later in the year - so while I dont want a full on TT bike, an aero road bike or similar might tick the boxes.
i'm 6'6 and weigh about 95kg - so i'm always going to need basically the biggest frame size.
Thoughts?

I was literally going to post the exact same thing before I had even opened the thread.There is so much choice at that sort of price but I'd definately recommend a custom build to maximise your cash, off the peg bikes are so expensive and under spec'd compared to a custom build where you start off buying the frame.
For starters try the Canyon Ultimate SLX, a Cervelo S2, a Ridley Noah and the Scott Foil.... with Sram Force, some 50mm carbon clinchers and some nice finishing components you will easily have change from £3k.
I wouldnt worry too much about an "aero bike" per se, I think your size and weight may negate any gains that you can find by having an aero frame although a good set of 50mm deep wheels will go a long way to helping and a fitting session will at least find a good comfy position for aero bars and lowering your back.
I should add that Canyon are the exception to the off the peg rule, as are Rose who are defintely worth a look.

Well to update this - i've just ordered a 2012 Scott Foil 15 at a pretty good price, now just have to wait for it to turn up..........
Good call.... I've got the 10 built with DA7900 & I'm very happy with it. It's coming out of hibernation on Sunday & I'm looking forward to getting out on it again.
